Problems Setting Scan to email workcentre 3550 with att

Hello,

This is my second Xerox. I was very plase with the performance of my m20I and replaced it a couple years ago with the 3550. Sadly I have never been able to get the scan to email to work on either. I had it working for a short time and then our ISP AT&T blocked us out of some the ports (for no reason). I've tried everything, please help.

 

I expect it's the settings and there is just simply something beyond the standard set up to work around the issues with AT&T.

When printing 8x10 certificates from a win7 PC and Microsoft publisher with the driver and machine settings set to 8x10 it jams as if it's having a timing issue after the first registration sensor on tray 5...HELP

On windows
Start
Run
Cmd
Ping SMTP.yourdomain.com (this will return an IP address x.x.x.x)
Enter machines IP in internet browser
Under SMTP settings input the SMTP ip x.x.x.x:21 or x.x.x.x:568 you got from cmd
Enter machine email address noreply@yourdomain.com
And done

I handed the job to another tech who set it up as FTP so I don't know if the solution worked kudos all the same for the response.

Hello SandyP-Xerox,
Well I am very happy!
I opened the guide “Scanning to PC or Network.”
1. First, I checked that the computers and the printer were in the same network.
2. I opened the CWIS on a browser (192.168.1.25)
3. I opened the address book and on the left panel opened the Computer Server Address directory.
4. I saw the IP address of the computers (192.169.1.156 and192.169.1.163)
5. Then I watched a Windows video about how to find the IP address of a computer.
6. I found the IP address of the computers and they were different from the one on the Server Address Directory.
7. I edited the IP addresses.
8. The scanner performed perfectly.

thanks for the reply.

 

I have quintupled check my settings. Here are some of the things that I have tried

 

-IP instead of HOST name - vice versa

-Putting full path of share name. instead of just Pharmacy, I put \\vnxrslpool\PHARMACY

-Checked the file properties on the our VNX and it is not set to case sensitive. Although the share name is in caps, it does not affect the naming convention.

-Different port for SMB (both 139 and 445 worked on our Phaser, so it's not a port issue

-Changed the password of the account pharmacyscanning which has writes to the share. A simple AD Service Account used for this purpose.

 

Here are some screen shots of both, the Phaser - which works, and the problematic 5845.

 

We were curious to try on our WC7530 because it is the same UI as the 5845, and of course, no luck with this printer as well. But the main concern is the WC 5845.5845.PNG3635.PNG

As you can see for the Phaser, it is currently set up using Host name, but we also tested using IP and it works. Like I said, it works flawlessly with this printer.

Having the same issue here with my DocuCentre-IV 3375. Solution provided didn't work either. We haven't been able to scan to email since last Tuesday. Will there be a fix provided anytime soon?

WC 7775 scanner deletes the jobs!

We  have a WorkCenter 7775 on network. Recently we have been getting "Job Deleted" error right after a documet scanned.... so scanned document won't show up in person's box since it gets deleted right away..... pls let me know how can we fix this? printing through network is fine and have no issue.

We have a wrokcentre 7120 it wast not set up by me as I am new to the office.

It has been working just fine up to three days ago.

No one changed anything, since it is just me and the CFO using it.

Then I got an error 027-777.

Tried to change the SMPT to "None" as suggested on the xerox site for the fix to this error.

Now I get an error of 016-767.  I have double checked the email and they are correct.

Can this have anything to do with the Office 365 we use for email?

Why would this just stop working when it has functioned all along for months?

Any help?

Hi! We have a FX ApeosPort-IV C3375 machine at the office. Is it possible to hook up a USB barcode scanner so we don't have to type in 20 character file name from time to time? Thanks.

Xerox 7830 scan to networkfolder - wrong folder - one touch scan

dear all,

 

we are using the "one-touch" scan operations to scan to a network folder.

For example customer A has a button on the screen

customer B has another button on the homescreen, and so for each customer.

 

If you choose customer A, scan's go to networkfolder A (another scan profile specific for this customer)

If you choose customer B, scan's go to network folder B (another scan profile specific for this customer)

and so one for all customers...

 

we have once in a week that some people scan to for a customer and that the files are in the folder from another customer. All other times, every scan goes well, only some times in a week. We have +/-75scan's a day on this machine.

We already double checked all setings in the one-touch actions and the scan profiles.

If the problem should be a setting, it should be always wrong... but it isn't so we think about a bug or another problem?

 

Xerox 7830 machine is on version: 071.010.034.06000

 

Please let us know if this is a well know bug/problem ?

Solved!

 

smtp.gmail.com is not working anymore, use smtp.googlemail.com instead.

 

smtp.googlemail.com on port 587 with STARTTLS

LDAP Custom Filters

Hi,

we have a WC 7835. LDAP server is configured correctly but I want to hide users with attribute: msExchHideFromAddressLists=TRUE.

How can I do it?

I tried in User ID Query Filter "(&(objectClass=user)(!MSExchHideFromAddressLists=TRUE)(sAMAccountName=LDAP))" and "(&(objectClass=user)(MSExchHideFromAddressLists=FALSE)(sAMAccountName=LDAP))" and "(MSExchHideFromAddressLists=FALSE)(sAMAccountName=LDAP)" with no luck.

 

Can anyone help me with that?

Fax Line connection causes reset loop - WorkCentre 7775

At my company we have 3 7775s, 1 of which is supposed to be our main fax machine as well as Copy, Scan and Print.  But, if I install the fax board and hook up to the fax line, eventually (could be ~1hr up to a week) it will cause the machine to have a fatal error (screen has a red background) and I have to uninstall the fax board.  Restarting the machine brings it back to the error screen.

 

Now, I highly doubt it is anything to do with the machine or fax board because one of our other 7775s used to sit where the problem machine is and the problem stayed with the jack, it did not follow the machine.  We have changed extensions from the 66 block, put on a line filter, ran the line through the printers power block on the fax in/out ports and even had our carrier come out and replace the channel back that the line runs off of (dedicated analog).  The printer does not experience this issue without the fax board and the line does not cause issues on an old Canon fax machine that we are forced to use.  This problem is driving me insane.  Thanks in advance for the help.
