Altalink C8055 delete contact from device address book
Is it possible to delete a contact from the device address book using the device's touchscreen? If the only method is from the web interface, does the user have to be logged in as the admin user or can an account be setup to just be able to edit/manage the device address book?

Due to our environment, using FTP is not an option. We will have to look at purchasing new machines. Is the WorkCentre 6027 SMBv2 capable?

By default the address book is not able to be changed at the device, you can somewhat enable it, but it will then only allow you to add an entry, or edit a current one, but not remove any.
You have to enable it for All Users here in EWS
But, as stated, you will only gain add and edit as functions

Make a clone of all but the email settings, Do an Erase Customer Data and then restore the clone.
Setup email from scratch.

This issue has been resolved.
I did not know that when we moved to this new building they added a new sonicwall device and cloned the settings from the old one. They missed the firewall rule that allows for SMTP connections on port 25.
We added the rule for the firewall and the oprations of the printer is back to normal.

WC6515 - how to disable incoming faxes?
Hi,
I'm trying to disable the incoming faxes on my WC6515DN: I see "Line Settings" in the web interface (currently set to "Incoming & Outgoing faxes") but I can't change it: it remains greyed out, even as admin, see image. The User Guide says I should be able to do it from the Embedded Web Server (p169) as well as from the Control Panel (p170).

Workcentre 5335 Auto-Redial Fax?
Hi All,
Super quick question. We've got a Workcentre 5335 in the office, and the spec sheet for it says it supports auto-redial. However, when we send faxes and the other end is busy, we just get the error report and it never reattempts the send; we just have to resend it manually later. And when we go into the Fax Settings on the machine as administrator, there doesn't seem to be any options for setting auto-redial attempts or redial intervals or anything of the like.
I've been through both the user guide and the system administrator guide for the 5335 and neither of them touch on redialling. A Google search turned up nothing either.
It seems like such a simple thing for the fax to have. Did the spec sheet mislead us? Does the 5335 not support auto-redial of faxes? Or are we just missing something?

Hi,,
From what I know ther are 2 NVM settings, one for number of times of auto dials ( from 0 t0 9) and one for redial interval (per 1 minute), but they make part fom Diagnostic mode wich is Xerox confidential so you need a Xerox tech rep or a Service Manual.

Hello. I am looking to see if my AltaLink C8045 scanner can do batch scanning. I want to scan a batch of papers with separator sheets so that the scanner can detect the separator page and break the scans into multiple files.
Can the AltaLink C8045 do this?

Thank you for answering my question. I have a follow up question.
I have a scanning software that can perform the function I am looking for, however it can only detect a scanner that is directly plugged into it. Can I use my Xerox Altalink scanner which currently operates as a network scanner as the scanner I want to use or it has to be a direct connect? Also, could I use it both?

There is no way to direct connect it for scan, you can enable print over a USB cable from PC to printer, but not scan the other way.
The printer can scan to any network location (email,http,SMB,FTP etc), it can scan via a TWAIN driver over the LAN as well, it can scan direct to a USB thumb drive too, but not over USB.
I have no idea what software you are referring to but if it was made in the last 10 years I can't imaging why it would not in some way be usable with a Network scanner since that is the vast majority of commercial scanners.
