scan to network error

i have xerox 5022 whin i Scan my files with network to my pc. i have this problem or error

and how i config users network to login in xerox 5020

and i have an other xerox 5022 but no network card whin i printing use usb cable i have this error

Then you need to update what problem you have now because the fault isn't 016-772 if DNS is set.

I'm pretty certain it is too old to use SMB on anything remotely current (Can't do SMB2 or 3)

After the WannaCry thing it is likely impossible to get it to go. You would be better off setting up for FTP, of course that means setting the PC up for FTP, so if multiple PC's, you may want to go through setting FTP up to 1 PC, and mapping the FTP locations with SMB to the client PC's.

 

I'm pretty limited in what I can provide for setups right now since Xerox.com is pretty broken the last 48 hours and I can't even see if this device uses templates or a scan program to actually set up the scanning.

Where it isn't a Xerox product I have no access to spar firmware for it, but it is probably SMBv1 causing it.

 

They have information here, and your model is listed as supporting SMBv2. (But it may need what is called a Spar firmware to actually make sure it works, and due to it being a FujiXerox vs a Xerox I have no access to them for it)

 

So with that in mind.

 

Port needs to be 445 and not 139

Time on the device needs to be correct to within 3 minutes.

Login name should be fiully qualified, easiest way to verify that is via (type it exactly as it appears in the brackets)

Thank you for using the Support Forum. The create new folder option is not available on the WorkCentre 3345, that is a feature of the WorkCentre 3325 and 3315. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

If you have not already tried this power the machine off, wait a full minute and turn the machine back on.  If the message comes back follow the instructions in this case for services not available.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

On the  web interface page for the 4265 , go to Properties Tab, services, scan to Home, report options, Uncheck Box, save job log (xst) in repository.

Once I've changed it to "Test", do I need to restart the printer, or do I just make the change, then immediately attempt the network scan?

 

**Update**  I made the change to "Test" then retried the network scan to desktop.  Same reponse. Confirmation report shows "Failed"  The screen also showed "Failed due to invalid file name.

Hey Joe,

 

Thanks for the tip... We tried and still no luck.  

 

With our SMTP settings (smtp-relay.gmail.com), the first scan works fine then the next just times out. It doesn't even give the user any notification, which is a bit anoying...

 

I'm testing remotely using the Test Configuration page so there is no file attachement, I tried changing the subject line and the body of the emails between tests but the second test after a machine reboot always times out. Frustrating as there is no error message, and no logs that I know of where to look for more diagnostic information.

 

Anything else I can try?

I've not had much luck with smtp-relay.gmail.com so I just skip the relay and use smtp.gmail.com, port 587 with STARTTLS and have no issues. The relay server needs IP address authentication and has more antispam filters to get in the way.

 

If you must use the relay service, you will likely need to do a Wireshark trace to find out what Gmail is sending back to the printer that it can't interpret. It could be as simple as needing less secure apps to be enabled, or to disable 2 factor authentication if it is in use.

 

There is a very likely chance your firmware just isn't new enough (It's from Nov 2014) to handle the required SHA-2 for gmail. If that is the case, then a simple update to current firmware should be sufficient. And it will enable the device to do SMB scan to Windows 10 and Server 2012, so you will probably need it soon anyway. So grab the current version here, which is as of this posting, 061.121.227.03404

It's a print instruction fail, it is nearly always caused by printing to a paper that isn't supported, I can't think of a reason that every job would do that unless it was entirely the wrong driver.

 

If it is happening to every job, try another driver from Xerox.com, if it happens only in a specific job or application you would need to give vastly more details.

We got a xerox documate 3220 and we're trying to scan multiple pages into one single pdf. Don't know how to customize anything from the scan window. The way it is now is that it's saving every paper scanned into its own individual pdf.

In the default template remove the apostrophe and shorten the file default destination of Serkan Bayraktaroglu"s Macbook Pro to no more than 10 letters you can change it to Test just to test if that will allow it to work.  If this does not fix the issue please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

If you are doing separate jobs it makes separate files. You can try to get one file via Manual Feed Mode (Page 21 of OneTouch guide)

If you are loading 5 pages in the adf and getting 5 pages in separate digital files, then you are using single page formats or have Create single image files enabled (Page 16 of OneTouch guide)

Outside of those 2 options you would likely need Nuance Paperport.
