Hi!

We have a WC 3325 used with 2 Windows 10 64bit computers.

We used Easy Printer Manager on both of them to set scanning option but on one of them when I try to browse a folder (click on 3 dots button) for Scan to Pc it says "Unable to load config data". What does it mean?3325 scan to pc alert

Thank you

Either the software is not correctly installed or there is some sort of credentials or firewall issue.

I tested on Windows 10 Enterprise as well as Windows 10 Anniversary and neither has the issue you are seeing.

I installed the version for Windows 7 x64, I did not bother to use Windows compatibility mode or any customization.

copier that you can set X and Y independently

I'm looking for an affordable copier in which the X and Y can be set at separate values. The X needs to be set at 60, and the Y at 100. It is for a small family business, so I'm not looking for a commerical machine. I would also like something that I could perhaps get at an office max or staples or Sam's club - though not necessary. Please respond here or email me at puja.khare@gmail.com.

How to stop printing the Error Notice on Workcenter 5775

We enabled Xerox Standard Accounting on the WC 5775 in our Library, due to this, any unauthorised user that sends a job to the printer will receive 'Error Notice'
every time whenever a user try a wrong User ID/Account.

We don't want this feature of printing this 'Error Notice' report anymore. This feature is wasting our papers.

I have gone through all the settings on the printer, but i couldnt find a clue, please help us so that we can stop this paper wastage.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to set up scan to email on this MFD using office365

used these settings: smtp.office365.com / Port Number: 587, and set up smtp authentication account within office365, but keeps getting network error when trying to send to an address that has been created within the address book.

Haven't had any experience with Xerox MFD before so any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Also tried to set up using scan to gmail  but again failed miserably.

Regards

Vin

Re: Connectkey workflow scanning to DFS

I recently, July thru August 2016, experienced this SMB scan to dfs issue, at a large national client with multiple locations.  The issue was only at the clients HQ location, and didn't occur at remote locations located in plants. They were running a mix of WC7830-35-45-55's and 1 WC7970.  After much troubleshooting, it was determined that the issue was only at their HQ location which we later confirmed was utilizing Dfs.  We only pinned down the issue after crearing a Xerox Log on the issue, and multiple trace files that were sent to Xerox 2nd level, and ultimately to 3rd level support.

It also took a lot of attention and focus by the Xerox TSS (Technical Support Specialist) and other sales folks within the Channels group as this was a large multi unit install. Curiously enought the WC7530's at the customer had no issue scann to the same dfs file system????

The current firmware at the time AUG-11, sepecific to the WC7830 was SPAR (073.010.116.19700) and equivalent versions on the 7845-55 and WC7970's.  After analyizing our network traces, 3rd level support sent a Patch ((950888v1) that "specifically" addressed the SMB scan to Dfs issue only!

We recently 11-14-2016, added a new WC7830 with the current (Oct-14-2016) SPAR firmware 073.010.126.28110 and again was unable to SMB scan to dfs, thus confirming that the patch was not included in the most recent firmware release.  We had to rollback the wc7830, using Altboot, to 073.010.116.19700 AND reapply the 950888v1 patch to get SMB scan to dfs working.

PS were were unable to apply the 950888v1 patch to the current Oct-14 Firmware 073.010.126.28110

Our hope is that eventually this patch will be included in future firware updates, until then proceed with caution, and hope this info is useful

You should call a Xerox rep local to whichever Country you are in. Xerox is massive, and has printers from $200 up to those that can be configured in the hundreds of thousands of dollars (US). They also sell different devices in different markets.

Affordable depends on the intended use and expected options and output/input.

You don't mention what exactly your 100 or 60 even indicates, it could be millimeters, percents, inches, pixels.

If you are looking for a machine that will take a 10cm by 10 cm document, and squish it so the output is 10cm by 6cm then I doubt you will find one, all that will do is distort the image and make it worse. Which is the same reason you typically need to click something to unlock the feature in Image editors (It's a chain in Adobe products, i't a "maintain Aspect Ratio" box in PAINT) Copiers don't typically allow it to be disabled.

Thank you. 60 and 100 are percentage. I'm finding most copier do not allow you to set them at separate values, they have to be the same. I am looking for a small family business, so ideally around $500 -1,000.

I can't access one of your devices because they are not sold in North America, so I will just tell you the things you need.

Server is indeed smtp.office365.com and it is port 587

But it needs STARTTLS encryption to work, you can try TLS, but it usually works better (if at all) when you choose STARTTLS.

And as of early this year, many devices (older) stopped working with most providers during the server side roll over to SHA-2 being implemented. (And since by their site there are no current Mac drivers, I assume they are no longer supporting the model you own)

By the look of Fuji-Xerox's documentation , it doesn't look good for supporting encryption, which would mean you need to setup a relay for the printer to send through, or just use an online service like SMTP2Go (they are not affiliated, supported, or endorsed by/from Xerox)

I believe most companies won't implement a feature that makes things look bad and this would be one of them.

Text loses it's crispness, images lose detail.

I appreciate your opinion, however, the small business creates birth and death certificates for the state of Pennsylvania. The state requires the aforementioned standards and have developed the form in which the image turns out looking just fine, and does not look "bad." The state suggested a copier made by Sharp, which is no longer being made anymore. I am looking for a copier to replace the phased out one.

My opinion is besides the point, I am graphically showing the "why" the manufacturers all seem to have eliminated the option.

I'm not Xerox and I don't make feature decisions, but I do work for Xerox. I don't know of any machines that do in fact do what you want, some old Konica Minoltas did, but the newer ones at my wife's office don't do it either, my mother in law has a Brother that doesn't do it, I have no experience with Canon at all.

Looks like Sharp has dropped it as well, at least they don't list it on anything in the lineup here.

WorkCentre 3225 Fax problems

hello,

Am having a really hard time with fax receiving and sending. The service is not stable and one day it works the other it doesn't.

As I am a telecom engineer I understand that this might be problem with the phone line. So we called our provider and had a check up to the line. Clear without noise or errors. I then replace the phone cable. Still the same result. One day fax works, the other it doesn't.

We called the provider for 2nd itme. They asked us to disable the error correction and set the fax speed to 9600 Kbps . I was able to find the ECM Mode and disable it.  But I wasn't able to find out how to change the fax speed transmission.

I looked all the menus, but I couldn't find such an option. I was wondering if there is a "hack" or something so we can change the speed as requested to this value. Maybe a firmware update solve this problem ??

Please advise as I am really having a hard time. Faxes are common task for our business

regards

Makis

"not working" is not enough information.

Doesn't run?

Isn't on the PC?

Runs but doesn't connect?

Error message at the moment it "doesn't work"?

Have you simply removed it, rebooted the PC and reinstalled it?

It's been 7 years since any drivers were developed for this printer, so it is safe to say it is no longer supported or developed for, if Windows 10 has an update that thoroughly kills it's software you may need to roll back to Version 1511 of Windows 10 (Pre Version 1607 "Anniversary" edition), Upgrade the printer or scan to a shared drive on the Windows 7 PC, and map the share to the Windows 10 PC so both PC's can grab the scans.

The network scan software not found printer on the lan network; does not work the automatic scanning and even the ip manual entry.

No error message.

The connection to the webserver of the printer with the IP adress and the browser works.

The other network PC with Windows 7  e netscan software works.

Thank's

If the software installs, and runs, but can't communicate, yet the PC can communicate by every other testable means, I would look at disabling the firewalls. Must be that doing the block since we know port 80/443 (CWIS) and port 515 and 9100 (prints) are working.

WC3220 MFC scan to any thing like a pdf no longer works

$

We have SEVERAL Xerox printers in our office, but the most often used are usually one of our five WC3220 MFC units, since these are the only units we own that can (or at least ONCE upon a time, did...) 'scan-to-PC' where we could then choose an option to save the scanned image as a 'pdf'' document...

However, ever since we've had to 'migrate' to Windows 10 (from a mixture of Win7 and Win 8 systems) one-by-one, certain PCs could no longer scan to a network connected PC and have a pdf 'reader' application automatically open and display the document...

We have a mixture of 'reader' software installed on many of the PCs, such as Adobe Acrobat 11, Adobe Acrobat DC, or things like Nuance PDF Pro Office, etc., but it didn't really matter which PC was running which software - it usually 'just worked'...   That is,  until about two weeks ago, I'd guess.  At any given time, any of the chosen applications COULD work, but as I mentioned, this has continued to 'fall away', until finally now our very last PC has now lost the ability to scan-to-PC and have a pdf software automatically open and display the scanned document.  That's not to say 'scan-to-PC' does not work at all... We CAN scan to MS Word, and it will automatically open Word, (where we can then "save as..." a PDF document), but why has it suddenly changed AWAY from anything related to a PDF software like Adobe Acrobat or practically anything else..?

I've tried just about everything I can think of, like removing and re-installing any of these PDF reader applications, or removing and re-installing the WC3220 software (which, BTW,  I had to download directly from Xerox since the CD disks that came with any of these AIO units apparently won't install under Windows 10, now, so NOW we no longer have access to software applications like Omnipage, PaperPort, etc.),

But I'm at my 'wit's end' trying to get any of this to work again...  No matter what I try, no one can scan to a network connected PC and have a 'PDF reader' app automtically open...

I guess I should also note that when I check the 'task manager' in any given PC when we've tried to scan to a PDF app, it would APPEAR that the app IS running (IE: Adobe Reader, etc.), but it just does not appear on the screen.  If it is of any 'clue', when I then try to open another PDF without 'ending task' on the running reader software, the PDF I'd just tried to  open ALSO will not appear.  IF, on the other hand, I DO 'end task' on the app (like Adobe Reader) it opens as expected...  (say what..??!?!)

GAH!  I'm ripping what's left of all my hair out..!!

But I sure wish we could've just stayed with Windows 7... Windows 10 is seemingly full of such 'issues'... but this one is driving me nuts.
