Hello,

It's mandatory to create a template for this ? Personnaly, i scan without the template ...
No you cannot.
Workflow scan absolutely has a template, if you choose nothing on Workflow scan it is only because the Default template is already selected.Which is:
CWIS > Properties > Services > Network Scanning > Default template
If you are scanning to email, or Scan to PC, or Scan to Folder, or Scan to USB, which you did not state, then the same option is available, in a in a different place to set the default, in the same place to do it during a scan.
When looking for help from people you have never met, you need to be as clear as possible, especially for asking help on a device that has so very many ways to do a job.
Hello Joe,
Sorry for notbeingclear,this rarely happensusual.
Isearch the default settings of a scanto e-mail.
I can not find where itis configured, and thisisnoplace you havemefor the indicatedtime [because i change to 600dpi and the scan is always a 200dpi(because I hurt certainnementmademy request, sorry again)].
Can you help me please ?
thank you very much
Regards,
Email is changed at the copier and not on the web page. Log into the copier itself as the admin and go to
Machine Status > Tools > System Settings > Scan/Fax Service Settings > Scan Defaults > Resolution
We have a Xerox WorkCentre 5875 PS, and when one user tries to print it does the following;
It prints his jobs, but auto deletes are soon as the Xerox gets them.
They show the job as "unknown" on the Xerox, which is his print jobs, but it auto deletes it.
-- This person is having issues with two different Xerox machiens, but they are both 5875's, the other is a Xerox WorkCentre 5875 PCL6
No other user is having this issue at all, any suggestions on what might be happening?
It prints his jobs, but auto deletes are soon as the Xerox gets them.
If it deletes it, it doesn't get printed, please explain what you meant here.
They show the job as "unknown" on the Xerox, which is his print jobs, but it auto deletes it.
Unknown happens due to the port, change it from RAW to LPR
And even a deleted job should have a reason associated, just go to Job Status > Completed Jobs and select it to get the status.
And since it is all down to the one user, you know it isn't the printer, so the driver, or the user account if accounting is in use, will be the issue
Everything working fine until a couple of weeks ago when the router was swapped out. Actually, there were no issues until 2-3 days AFTER the router installation and then workflow scanning stopped working. The cient called Xerox and they essentially said it was a firewall issue. It does seem logical since it is the only thing that changed (although it was not immediate and of course the router should not be stopping internal traffic). The new router purchases is an ASUS RT-AC5300. Pretty much a default installation... no special settings. I did try turning off the firewall and this did not resolve the issue. Fixed the time on it, as it was wrong. Toggled a couple of other advanced settings but nothing. Also, nothing in the router logs at all when a scan is sent.
When it fails there is no error. It appears to work and shows success on the printer... however, the scan never shows up. Checked permissions and the share (which is on an Windows 7 workstation) is accessible from anywhere. I have tried port 139 and 445 and the symtoms are the same.
I'm stumpped... any suggestions?
Thanks
Do a Wireshark trace of the scan and see where it goes.
My stab-in-the-dark guess would be that the new Router has a different IP than the old one, so the gateway on the printer is now incorrect, or DHCP is on and something else is using the same IP as the Windows 7 PC. But those are obviously guesses.
If the printer shows the job as completed in the Job Status > Completed Jobs screen, that message comes from a confirmation via SMB to the share. Which means the job should be somewhere.
Port 445 is the right one though, not 139.
Make sure you are scanning by IP address and not host name, because the host name may not be registered in DNS on the new LAN.
dears,
i cant find the scan button (servuce) on the touch screen, however i had enabled the FTP and the SMB and email feature and it's now shown, any help here :), thanks in advance.
for the 5225 , network scanning is a purchasble option
if you dont see anyhting about network scanning, in your CWIS webbrowser , then you dont have the option to scan to folder
doesnt mather if you enable the ftp protocol yes or no
We have WorkCentre 3550 like fax receiving server. We have trouble with fax forwarding to smb server. We have two files in the folder:
Files like:
1.XXXXXX_receivingdate.pdf
2.XXXXXX_receivingdate000.log:
(START LOG) model name : "WorkCentre 3550"; job type : "fax rx"; id : "Skaner"; machine id : "XXXXXX"; machine number : "NNNNNN"; file name : "XXXXXX_receivingdate000"; file type : "mmr"; file format : "pdf"; file resolution : "H203 x V98"; file number : "1"; page number : "1"; fax number : ""; fax receiving result : "OK"; (END LOG)
How to disable this log file?
Fax Defaults: Auto Report - off
"It prints his jobs, but auto deletes are soon as the Xerox gets them.
If it deletes it, it doesn't get printed, please explain what you meant here."
The laptop can print the job, and the message comes up that says the job was printed. When I go to the Xerox no job is showing, when I look at the history of the Xerox it shows that an unknown print job was sent to it, and auto deleted as soon as the Xerox got it.
"They show the job as "unknown" on the Xerox, which is his print jobs, but it auto deletes it.
Unknown happens due to the port, change it from RAW to LPR"
If I change the port, doesn't that affect all users, not just the one that is having the particular issue?
thanks for ur feedback, any help how i can purchase it now or it's not available any ?
Hi,
For some reason my print dialog forgets the 'Glossy' paper and I'm unable to print properly. It always goes back to plain when I press OK (even if I don't leave the dialog and hold my mouse on the OK button), then the printer complains there is a paper mismatch.
Any reason for this?
Nope, port is to his driver on his PC, not the printer
Either you don't have rights to make changes or you are using a corrupted driver, or using Windows 10 Anniversary and a server installed driver.
The answer in all 3 cases is to install a new driver and make sure it is a local install. Since you neglected to mention anything of relevance about what you are printing from I can't link a driver since it could be any number of Windows/Linux/Mac PC's you are using.
Hi AlexeyP
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for configuring the fax report. Disable the report and see if that works for you. If the problem continues please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi,
We use workflow scanning with a template repository on our Workcentre 7545s (using an SMB file location on Server 2012r2). The users all authenticate with a smartcard before printing or scanning. At the moment we are able to file the scans using credentials stored in a template or typed in directly to the machine. Is it possible to use the smartcard credentials to fole the scans? If so does anyone know what needs to be in the XST file for this to work?
thanks
dont think its avaible anymore, rather old machine
no, smart card doesnt contain your NTFS password , and you need that to scan
