Sounds like the scans are quite simply too large to stay in memory, I would assume a very large build job or you are using very high DPI and very little compression , which is causing massive file...

Fabio, Are you sure it can be done at the UI? Unless you are thinking of a different thing than I am, that only allows you to import via CSV file (From USB) or modify an existing entry.
