I am getting a scanner disconnected error on my 8560mfp and the support site for this error http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8560mfp/support/enus.html?operatingSystem=winxp&fileLanguage=en says to upgrade to a minimum firmware version of ps 4.9.14 but the latest version available on the driver/download page is 4.9.10 which purports to fix this problem but does not seem to load when the error is present. Another post on the board from 2012 for a small pdf issue suggests that 4.10.10 is available from support. I have a support (email) request in but since our printer is out of warranty and we have not paid for support I am anticipating a long wait with a non working scanner.
Why does Xerox not post up to date firmware, the 4.9.10 version says it is from Jan 2012, over 2 years ago.
