After many hours working on this printer very frustrated and plan to return it or get a replacement. In the the meantime I got the blasted thing work.
There is no Scan to PC Setup via USB cord. The Printer has to be setup on a WIFI network. Go into the connectivity settings and manually set.
It will ask you to reset device and hit close. Dont hit close on the printer! Reset your network router. Once your router resets be patient check your monitoring software to see if the device is on. It should be the Workcentre 6515 may reboot or reset itself without interference.
When the console on the printer is back to the home page choose the About.
Scroll down to see if the printer has a IP address. If it does go to Scanner config utility and enter network info {I could not find the utility} So I reinstalled the Scanner Software from the
CD if you have it otherwise download it from -->> Make sure you choose the right OS!!!
After this use the Windows Fax and Scan or Windows equailivent in your OS platform.
If that does not work for you I reccomend returning it if it is not that old. Because, in my opinion you should allow for a Scan to PC option via USB as well. Not sure why that function was omitted.
