I use the scanner for two different purposes. One time I have to convert lots of photographs into JPG, another time I have to convert lots of text pages into PDF. The default setting in the scanner is scan to PDF. Is there a way to create a second default setting for scan to JPG - either by installing a second app, or by using a different setting every time a certain addressee is selected? In other words: I am looking for easy switching of different settings.

I have installed the latest drivers from www.xerox.com/drivers site.
When I try to scan a color image using flatbed scanner in Preview application it is able to scan an overview image, but not the actual scan - it just shows an error message saying "Scanner returned an error" and nothing more. I'm scanning over WiFi.
So I tried to debug a little bit and in Console it shows this error:
Xerox: CGImageCreate: invalid image bits/component: 8 bits/pixel 24 alpha info = kCGImageAlphaNoneSkipLast
After this theres the same error message of Preview.app.
By the way, this has been happening since macOS Mojave. And so on one of my Macs that's running the latest OS it's unusable, but it works on another Mac that's running macOS High Sierra.
So I have been racking my brain out for a week now trying to create a faxing alternative for my employer, we do have efaxing through AT&T but sometimes that doesn't work with certain companies. Prior to Jan 1, we had a USB fax modem installed on a Windows 7 machine that all we needed to do was select files to fax in Windows Fax and Scan and push send. However I cannot get the correct drivers for Windows 10 (this modem is fairly new) and even though it is suppose to work with Linux, it is not cooperating with our standalone Ubuntu machine. So I guess my question is: can we create a fax server using the WorkCentre 3345 and we can still use the Windows Fax and Scan, just connect it to the Workcentre? If that is possible, how? I cannot find any documentation on it, even on the driver and software page. Any help would be appreciated! thanks!
Lift the lid like you were going to make a copy on the glass.
On the Lid where the paper feeds in from the DADF there should be a sensor that goes the full width, whatever the issue is, its on that bit (It scans the back half, front is done on the strip of glass to the left)
Any difference if you set file naming from Auto to Advanced and using %M;%s ?
There is no way to do it on the 6515 or anything in the Versalink family.
It can be done on Connectkey and Altalink and Primelink.
Hello there. We are confused about an issue we are having with our Xerox 7435 Workcentre and sure could use some assistance. We have the power saver/energy saver settings configured. After a print or scan, the machine follows the timers ans then moves to energy saver mode. However, after a local copy is made, the machine never goes back to power saver/energy saver mode. Are we doing something wrong? The system software is version 75.3.1. We never noticed this issue before. Any help/guidance/advice on how to address and fix this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dig around the settings for either a job timeout or screen timeout.
My guess is that it was disabled so you don't have the machine go to sleep while you are mid job chatting up a coworker or eating a bagel ;-)
So then the sleep will only happen if you are on the main services screen, which is the screen it stays on when you do a print.
This setting will only exist at the printer itself, it won't be found on CWIS at all
%M;%s is not acceptable because of the semicolon, %M%s is acceptable but didn't change, same error.
It was a very frivolous answer, we are still waiting for a solution. This is completely unacceptable.
Yeah, frivolous isn't the word for this. Stating that the drivers are available is actual quite practical.
Hi. Workcenter 3335. Im printing a large job and then a Fax comes in and prints in the middle of the print job. Is there a way to prioritize print jobs so my Fax will wait to print until my print job has finished?

The printer is connected to wifi and prints from my laptop connected to the wifi. I have put my email address into the printer address book. When I go to 'scan to' and tap 'contacts' there is nothing in there. How do I scan to my email address?
Maybe they closed xerox....
This printer has started to cut out sentencing int he middle of pages. How can this be corrected? Can someone come out monthly to provide maintenance for it?
