I also have problem with printer and scanner. The printer not work properly and the scanner not working at all.
example, if i want to print 1 page, most of cases, print 10 pages with small symbols & letters.
The scanner not working at all, on macOS Catalina !
I don't want to dowgrade the macOS for make the *multifaction printer to work.

Thank you for using the Support Forum. This is the link to the latest firmware. There are installation instructions included in the zip file. This is the link to the latest PCL driver and this is the link to the latest scan driver. This is the link to removing the printer from Windows 8, this solution is for a different model of printer but the steps for removing the printer are the same for your WorkCentre 6505. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Same here with WorkCentre 6515 on Mac OS X 10.15 Catalina.
It always says Completed with an Error (018-505): SMB-DOS protocol error 1-005, I have follow the instruction how to set up, but can't , does the Xerox has the work center on PC ?? or every time have to do with the control Panel of the printer ???
I used Image Capture to scan from the flatbed but get an error message if I tried to use the document feeder. So it has become semi-useful. Tried a couple of software/driver packages for other multifunction printers that have Catalina compatible drivers. No luck. In checking the existing drivers for 3215/3225 and similar printers are 32 bit and have been around since at least 2014. Really! All these years to upgrade to 64 bit and programers at Xerox have been sitting on their collective butts. If I had known this (and why would I) I would not have purchased the 3215 this past year.

I own a 6515DNI and a FritzBox 7590. I would like to be able to scan to a folder "Scan" on my FritzNas, but I dont have a clue how to achieve that.
On my Fritzbox I log in via a password, no username required from the LAN. Xerox is in the same LAN.
Can anyone please give me a step by step guide to get this to work?

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you are following all the steps for scanning. If you are following the directions then delete the scanner from the computer and then reboot your pc and reload the current scan driver and try again. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

If I knew that, I would never have bought a printer from this company.
printer's scanner wheels will not stop rolling when turn the printer on it may be cause for the printer sensor is not working fine or the scanner sensor have dust on it that why its rolling is not working. My printer also has this problem so I open the printer and clean the sensor after it works fine and that type of problem did not show any issue or error in the pc. I got the solution from this facebook page.

The problem freezes when loading, the indicator shows 5. The flash drive reads only from the back, there are no emotions in the front.

I recently purchased a Versalink C405 for my wife's business and am having headaches and heartaches trying to get the feature Send To Email and Scan To to function properly. When trying to do this, I receive a print out stating the job was undelivered and the error is: 016-781 Server Connection Error.
I read through various posts and set up the SMTP settings exactly as they need to be for a gmail account. However, I also read that it is usually a DNS problem. This thread highlights a possible solution:

...stating that if you do not know what the DNS servers are (I don't), a typically safe bet is to use the Gateway address as the primary server and 8.8.8.8 as the secondary. However, in the EWS I do not find a Gateway address!

I am stuck as to what to input for these values. Could anyone give me some direction? Does this have anything to do with the printers IP address which I use to connect to EWS?
The second problem, which may be related or not, hence the reason I post them together, is that I cannot update the printer. When I use the EWS to update, and there is an update available, the machine restarts a few times and then prints out a summary giving me a 016-535 error.
When I try doing it directly through the printer, once I hit "agree," the machine says an error message of unable saying, "Download failed. Refer to the user guide...." I am unable to read all of the error because it disappears too quickly.
I try to download manually the update through the EWS and I am taken to a xerox download page. Once I click download, I receive a "Access denied. You do not have access to this server." I tried to download the remote service program to see if a support agent could remotely diagnose the printer, and they do not offer the file on Mac.
I have tried to switch networks to see if it was a problem between the printer and the network, and no change. I cannot update the printer, nor can I use any simply remedy to solve the problem.
Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.
