We are facing issue with altalink c8055 scan to email file name option.
Whenever we rename scan to email file name example:testscan 06.12.18 it comes with testscan 06_12_18
Everytime i have to rename the file after scanning and is there any solution for this issue.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I cannot see this option, could you please send me a screenshot of the CWIS?
Thank you
Hi,
I have not a image with 6605, but I have from WC7225 and I suppose is like that.
I don't know of a printer that doesn't do exactly what you are stating, which means it is very much how it is intended to work, and it is not considered by Xerox (at least Xerox Engineering) to be broken.
So your only option is to contact Xerox and ask them to do a FER (Feature Enhancement Request)
It isn't guaranteed by any means they will do it though, so it is better if you can find a competitive model that does do what you want , because if there is a competitor in the market, it will be more likely to sway them into developing it.
Edit: I discovered that the older generation Discovery Controller machines do indeed do what you want, so if you can't find a competitors machine that does it, you can add that the Xerox 7556 for example could do it. But it has more sway when the model is Canon/Konica etc than a Xerox.
Sorry gabiene, you are confusing the 6605 with the 6655 (Connectkey)
The 6605 has no such feature and has a very different interface in CWIS
Hi Joe,
Yes you have right! Sorry for confusing!
You are probably going to need to ask Xerox Engineering (Call them for support)
I looked everywhere and can't find what Apple Airprint specification is used on any printer Xerox makes or any other company, mostly because I can't find out what Specifications there are from Apple.
Hello,
I have a problem with my Versant 80.
The "scan to PC function doesn't work". It's very strange because in the printer web interface I go to the "Properties/Network Scanning" and when I click to any option says:
Internal Server Error
An error has occurred at server when processing request.
So I can't configure and change any data for the scanning configuration
Thank you and sorry for my english
Right-click in the unloaded part and choose to refresh.
The issue is usually related to a delay in response caused by the Fiery being between you and the printer.
I assume you have already re-booted them though (Both, do not assume rebooting the copier actually rebooted the Fiery)
I have a Xerox 5335 - and it usually scans fine. But for the last few months, it has been acting up. It will scan fine for a few hours and then abruptly stop. I receive error 027-529 and the dreaded tones of death.
I have looked up solutions online, but none seem germane.
Currently, I am rebooting the server computer and the printer, and that fixes it for a few hours.
What do I do so I don't have to continue to do this.
The failure is because there are too many simultaneous connections to the share, it would only happen if you do many scans in a short period of time to the share. The max concurrent logins to a share is 20 in Windows.
So you can try maxing the connections to 20 on the share, or switch to FTP that does not have the issue as seen here in SMB.
Not finding it on website. Plz advise
Centreware web is not designed for any single device, that would defeat the purpose of it.
Good Day,
I am having trouble configuring the scan to destination function of a new Xerox AltaLink C8045, the goal is to allow a user to scan to a network folder VIA SMB.
I already have to device configured with the Kerberos Server for users to log into, and I have created an entry in the address book for the "Scan to feature". When I test destination from the web interface all sections pass and I can see that a file is made and deleted on my shared drive by looking at the date las modified time.
The issue is when I try the function from the physical device, I am presented with the following error: Conflicting Job Settings - Invalid path Specified. Any idea what my problem is and why the destination test works from the Web interface but the function of the machine fails?
It's a bug in the firmware, just update it
