Just had some C8035/55s installed. When copying and selecting paper supply, is there a way to sort the listing of the paper trays? They are not sorted by tray numbers or amount of paper in trays. The list seems random.
Thanks.

They display per tray priority, the lower the number, the higher the priority, so just change the priority to match the order you desire, but remember, this will also mean the 2 high cap trays (3+4) won't get used until 1 and 2 are empty.
Login as admin and go to Device > Tools > Device Settings > Paper Management > Tray Settings and set them lowest to highest
And then they will be in the order you wanted
As in the title, our workcentre is producing black lines when we scan documents. However, this only happens when we're using the document feeder to do two-sided scans, and it only appears on the back-side scans. The front of each sheet is always great. I suspect that something needs to be cleaned, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions?
My WC 3220 is showing "scanner locked" on the display. This appeared after I removed the ADF to replace a hinge. Removing the ADF required that I disconnect it from the base. I've confirmed that upon replacement of the hinge, the connection is secure.
The maintenace manual simply says to unlock the scanner. The problem is that I don't believe this unit has a switch to unlock the scanner.
Any suggestions?
Side one is red glass, side 2 is blue glass. A line appears when something is on the glass.
Wonderful! Cleaning the glass in the lid as you indicated (I used alcohol) worked like a charm. Thank you so much!
What you need to do is look in the area where your copied pages come out, Between the paper tray and the bottom of the scanner.
On the underside of the scanner you will see a green latch, It is the only green item on the underside of the scanner. About 2 inches long and a half inch wide.
Turn off the machine, push that lever in, then, and it may resist some, pull it toward yourself until it snaps fully to the front of the machine.
Hello,
Im facing a problem with Xerox workcenter 7220, whenever I scan, print, copy anything I get a blue background instead of white.
this also happens with email scanning, Any ideas ??
Thank you.
New 8035 installed at our district office. Incoming faxes are received and printed. However, when sending a fax, the display show processing, then dialing. Shortly after, the job is then paused. I'm trying to send to another 8035 at a school connected to a standard POTS line. The district office copier is connected to an ATA.
If I try to send a fax to my cell phone, I get to fax tones. I've logged into the device as admin to try to adjust the dialing volume as per Joe053204-xrx:
* First test for faxes is to listen to them, so go to the device, log in as admin and go to:
Device > Tools > App Settings > Fax App > Fax Volume
* Turn up the volume for outgoing and send the fax, come back with the results of what you hear on a one page fax verses the 32 pager.
However, the Fax App is not listed under App Settings. Where can I enabled this feature?
Also, are there any settings for the fax confirmation page - enable/disable, etc.? I only see send/receive, forwarding, address book in the web interface.
Thanks in advance.
You would need a tech since the issue has to be multiple things.
If the scan hardware caused the issue it would not affect print jobs, if anything in the printer itself caused the issue it wouldn't happen on scan jobs.
There would be a bunch of things you could delve into if scan wasn't included in the jobs that are affected, same if print wasn't, but the fact that print and scan both show as blue means 2 entirely sperate things went wrong and caused the same probelm in 2 unrelated things.
This latch does not exist on the 3220.
If you don't have the Fax app you can't fax, so if it doesn't show up exactly where I stated your machine is broken and needs a service tech to perform an Altboot (wipe the device) to fix it. There are no scenarios or firmware versions where the Fax App will not appear right where I stated it would be previously. (Or you just didn't scroll down)
Confirmation reports are just the next option after the volume in the same menu.
Thanks for the response. I powered off/on the copier and was able to find the setting. The fax pausing is a little strange.
* At one school, the Altalink 8035 is connected with an ATA for faxing. I was able to fax from the office 8035 to this school's 8035. Both send/recieve 8035 have ATAs.
* At the office, I connected on older Muratec multifunciton device and was able to fax through the ATA to the Altalink 8035 at the school (no ATA at the school).
All said and done, I think the faxing issue boiled downed to 2 things:
1. wrong fax number
2. not dialing 9 for an outside line (required with our VoIP setup)
Thanks for all the help.
Dear forum members,
I would like to ask you for a help! Could you please tell me what is the best way to configure Scan to Email option on a Xerox printer model 7845 I want to perform this function on my Windows Server 2012 R2 (where all my domain users are). Please if its possible to provide me the steps with pictures included. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
You provided nothing to work with so what you are requesting is impossible
On the Xerox side of things you would simply go to:
CWIS > Properties > Connectivity > Setup > SMTP (Email) > Edit
Every single thing after that relies on the server, which is yours, and if you don't have it, the machine can't send an email, if you do have it, what I just provided is all you need.
If you need help with a fault , post the fault, and what you have done, because we (and certainly not I) am not here to make documentation for you.
I called Xerox yesterday with problem of not being able to scan to email. After they tried some troubleshooting they figured out our system was out of date (hadn't been updated since 2013) I have since updated the software to 073.010.008.05210
But I still cannot scan to email. When we email It acts like it will work then eventually the whole process will time out and it will print and SMTP Transfer report that says "One or more messages were not sent. Devoce could not transfer messages to the sending mail server (SMTP). See your System administator."
We are trying to use the gmail account we've used before they changed the SMTP port yesterday to 587. I have updated the password several times and nothing will work.
I have been on hold for a Xerox Representative for 2 hours now.......
That amazing rep you held for managed to fix it right?
Assuming you are in Hawaii and that it got fixed by using Enable Less Secure Apps in Gmail.
I have C7025 and want to alphabetize address book entries. How to do?
I have a school that purchased the versalink c405, they do not wish to put the printer on the network just connect directly to one pc with usb cable.
Printing works fine the problem is the teacher would like to use the scanner as well. I have installed drivers etc... but the xeroc software will not see the scanner. Any help would be appreciated.
