Hello!
Is it possible to install firmware for the 5325/5330/5335 to the 7120 one?

Software System    Version 71.13.41 right now, and Im having problems with Scanning to gmail. I've tried already different combinations of smtp server and auth - with no success.

Or can somebody tell me, where I can find the newer firmware for xerox 7120 please? Sadly, that Xerox doest not have every firmware listed on their web.

UPDATE: yay, found it! 71.24.12 (link) - and everything is working fine! :) although, 71.21.21 - had not helped too.

Documate 515 Scan to E-Mail using the latest Onetouch software

I reciently updated to windows creaters addition 1709 and also updated Onetouch to 4.6.2917.9207 using Windows 10 Pro (Build 16299)

I am also using Outlook 2013.

Before the updates I would scan to E-Mail and it would open outlook and create a new E-Mail with the scanned attachment within it.

after the update it will scan correctly, the log shows as  Succeeded 1 file the transfer to the email client has completed successfully however outlook never opens and a new E-Mail with the scan is not created.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

You need to provide something to work with here, we are not all knowing.

Xerox Scanners states on the first support page for the printer that drivers can't be updated, only removed and then installed to a new version, I would start there and set it up again from the beginning.

Windows build 1709 does not play well with drivers, you will need to do a complete removal and reinstall from scratch, which is why the note is listed at the top of the page for every device on the Xerox Scanners pages

Xerox is a partner of XeroxScanners, they are not the same company, so this forum doesn't have a section that pertains to them, Xerox scanners support is their phone, email and knowledge base, all of which are listed here

4265 LAN Fax doesn't work with new windows users

Weird problem here. I install the driver and everthing works fine, but when I add an additional user to windows the lan fax stops working correctly.  The output (what other's receive) looks blurry. I've tried everything I can think of to figure out what is causing the problem, but not lock.  If you log in to Windows 7 with the original use account it still works ok, but if you use any of the other user accounts the transmitted fax looks like gibberish. The confirmation page also prints with a gibberish version of the page image. I've attached images of what the confirmation looks like.  i've confirmed that the recipients also receive the blurry version.  The first image is a confirmation from a fax sent from the original user account.  The second image is a fax confirmation sent from the second user account.

So, are you saying if you (Dan) log into a PC and install the driver it will work fine, but if your co-worker (Let's call him Gary) comes over to that PC and you create him a new account and he logs in with his account it will do the messed up thing, then he logs out and (Sandra) who was already a user on that PC, then comes over she can log in and it will work fine?

That is odd, and it would imply a rights issue, but a rights issue should not be modifying output, it would seem more likely that the OS is swapping drivers (Windows 10 will often give new users the MS Class driver instead)

IN either case, you might be better off calling Xerox and supplying "Print to file" submissions to them so they can consult the code that is output to see what is being changed to help you troubleshoot why it happens.

Here is how it happens.
1. I install a fresh installation of Windows 7, create a generic user account, and then install all the software and drivers. The fax works fine.
2. I add a new user to the computer using the name of the designated employee and log in with the new account, now the fax doesn't work anymore. Printing works fine though, it's just the fax that doesn't work.
3. I log out of the employees user account and log back in with the generic user account, and I can fax again.

That is certainly an oddity, and I have no idea on the cause, if it actually matters, call Xerox and escalate it to 2nd level support with the stuff I listed above. It may be a Xerox issue, it might be an MS one, it may be easily replicated too (people don't constantly create users on PC's so it may have just never come up, but domain users never seem to have this issue in those environments and that is common)

Hello everyone, I have a Xerox 3615 and an Imac with hIgh Sierra.

Unfortunately High Sierra has removed ftP.

for this reason I cannot longer transfer onto my Imac scans via fTp.

SMB does not work.

How do I fix This problem?

I am still experiencing this error with Workcentre 5845 w/ 073.190.075.34540 firmware.  It's intermittent so I am hesitant to get a tech out there when I can't say for sure the device will show the issue while they are onsite.

Are there any recommendations for this issue on a device running updated firmware?

That isn't even close to the latest firmware as stated above, it is just the General release

The latest ends in .32400 and is here

This is how you decode firmware numbers, which shows you are running a release from 2015 (This puts yours 13 levels behind current

There is no reason not to update it, no settings are lost in doing so.

Xerox C60 - Scan to csv file

I have a xerox c60 and I'm wondering if there is anyway to take 360 enter to win forms that are filled out at an event, scan them in and have it turn them into a .csv file?  Can it OCR from the scan into an excel or .csv file?

I knew both solutions you indicated but I could not solve the problem.

FTP Server don't work, also with port 21.

Many of my work colleagues have decided to change the scanner.

I would like to continue using my Xerox, how can I do?

Those solutions all work just fine so you have to troubleshoot your method of implementing them.

I can't give you any magic fix, each has their own things that need to be done, like the App from the app store, as stated over and over in the thread comments, you need to create a folder within the root folder to make it work. And the port is 2121, which is listed in their Support site

WC 7830 scan to email office 365 invalid address

Customer has office 365 with port 25 and no authentication at all. They have 5330's, the new C8030 and all work fine with the exact same settings but different offices.

This machine is a 7830 Serial number MX1198057. When attempting to scan it says "one or more addresses are invalid, message did now send."

I updated the firmware from 72.010.004.09100 to new connect key firmware 73.010.075.34540 the highest level available. Tested email. Still same problem.

The I.T. engineers tried getting help through xerox support and got turned away. Here is a list of what he has done.

I have worked extensively on this scan problem on the copier, and contacted Xerox support and Eric at Advanced Digital for a solution. - Updated the office365 relay connector to add the address for the location 98.212.144.2 - tested with an account without the exchange license, and it failed for type 1 office365 relay - failure was remote on teh office365 server. - tested with multiple methods to attach to the authorized relay server, without success. - problems noted were: after putting the info in, specifically the address hacc-net.mail.protection.outlook.com teting was conducted and and the copier responded with an immediate failure. "One or more of the addresses are invalid. No messages were sent". - I checked the firewall and there is no communication from the copier to Office365

Can I get a log id so they can call in for 2nd level support or does someone have an idea why it works all all the other xerox machines they have but not this one?

That is the from address, which means the device host ID is not added as an authorized sender in the Office365 relay server they are using. It is not a printer issueClick here

The I.T. engineers tried getting help through xerox support and got turned away.

Xerox has one 2nd level log on this device in 2015 for a hardware issue with the finisher, never a software escalation. If they had spoken to us a newer firmware release would have been the first step, because then the printer could do a Network trace to prove beyond a doubt that the SMTP relay is refusing the job because they did not follow the directions in the relay setup to enable the device to use port 25 without authentication

The relay isn't the problem, other printers use it just fine, the problem is in the connector for this particular printer, which should be easy to prove by shutting down a working one and giving the not working one it's IP and hostname temporarily so that it uses the other working devices connector. There is also no need of the relay since Xerox firmware on all but the 5330 are fully capable of using the real server (smtp.office365.com on port 587 with STARTTLS)

Can I get a log id so they can call in for 2nd level support or does someone have an idea why it works all all the other xerox machines they have but not this one?

They need to call and get the log created for customer 2nd level support when they are able to troubleshoot, not before, or just re-open the log they had previously. This also isn't a Xerox sold device so they can't contact Xerox direct, they need to go through 1-800-835-6100, option 1, 1

Reboot the printer or login as a different user?

If it can't find the new users in an LDAP environment but can find the people from before, I would assume the new users are not within the same Search directory Root.

Thanks,

That did solve my problem. Only thing now though is that I get a certificate error when accessing the printer using Chrome (Se included image below)

I can however continue past that by accepting that it is "unsafe". I'm not sure if there is some way around this, it really doesn't matter to much as I seldom have to change stuff after this initial installation.

BTW. I did find a workaround for the problem before your answer, thought that might be of interest.

I exported my adressbook to a csv file, then I added all my adressbook entries to that one, including the passwords, then I imported it again. And then it worked, including passwords.
