Thank you for reply. Can it affect existing settings in any way?

I have a lot users and scan templates. Loosing it all to make scanning work on one computer would be without sense.

Workcentre 7545 http port number changed to 139 and I can't change it back

Hi,

my workcentre 7545 http port number has changed to 139 and I now can't access CWIS to change it back, is there a way to change it without logging in to CWIS?

Thank You very much, scanning is now working on Windows 10. No backup needed.

If you can open CWIS and you haven't disabled SNMP on the printer, then you simply need to add it manually instead of browsing, in the directions "or select [Connect to this scanner] and enter the IP address of the machine."

Sorry but I don't familiar with tohe abreviations.

The Network Scan program doesn't find the scanner nor if I let it to search himsefl, nor if I give the IP address.

CWIS is the web page within the machine, it is the way you configure pretty much everything it can do.

SNMP is the protocol it uses to announce itself on the network, and in turn, how the program identifies it

SNMP should be enabled like it is here

And just to test I downloaded and installed it on a Windows 10x64 PC just fine from Xerox.com as seen here:

Setup Workcentre 6605 - Can't scan via USB to computer

I purchased a Xerox WorkCentre 6605, Color Multifunction Printer, online and it did not come with a setup CD. I am using the printer at home with a USB connection to a single HP EliteBook laptop, with Windows. When setting up the printer I installed the Xerox Global Print Driver, and printing from the computer is working fine, but scanning from the printer to the computer doesn't work? I'm needing to figure out how to setup the printer to both print & scan?

I do see that there is a Windows USB Scan Driver on Xerox's driver website. If I install this driver, will it only scan and not print then?

Assistance with setting up the printer to both scan & print would be appreciated.

Thanks,

DLWorkCentre 6605

Re: Solution to Xerox 6027 Scan to Email SMTP Setup

I just bought a Xerox 6027 today and am also having trouble setting up the scan to email function.

I get an SMTP error.

I am trying to follow the instructions in your detailed post, but the first problem is that SMTP has changed their options under settings.

Settings > More> Address Authentication

is no longer an option, because there is no "More" anymore.

Secondly, where did you get a:

Xerox Centreware page

from?

I installed the driver using the disk that came with the copier.  But I do not know how to open a Centreware page.

Strangely enough, my computer is connected to the Xerox using an ethernet cord (over a network).  I can print Word docs.  But it won't let me scan to the Network.  I'd be content just being able to scan to my desktop for now, but can't figure out how :(

Any help that anyone can render would be greatly appreciated.

Xerox 7855 scan to NAS file size problem

Good morning, I have an issue with two clients trying to scan to smb to a folder in a NAS Server, the are NAS rack servers (model in attached image), the problem is as follows: when I scan any document which size is larger than 60-80kb the document is deleted by xerox due (I supose) the NAS server refuse the document for some reason, in contrast, when I scan any document bellow this size the scan works correctly.

Doing this operation in a folder in other machine (tested in pc with Windows 7) it works pefectly and other machines are scanning without problems to the same NAS folder.

Maybe Xerox machines have problems with NAS servers? Anyone have had a similar issue?

Thanks in advance.

Xerox Centreware page

It's a webpage built into the printer itself, if you know the IP address it uses, you put it in the address bar of a web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox) and it will load the page.

From that page, you can program the printer to do scan ( to email or to PC)

But you cannot just scan to a desktop PC, you need to install and configure FTP, or create an SMB share.

I have no idea on the SMTP2Go thing though, I have never used them.

Probably need a firmware update, the firmware numbered 073.xxx.xxx.34540 for instance would do that with some NAS and many Server 2012 setups.

Currently most of Xerox.com is broken, but when it is fixed (No ETA), the firmware will reside here that you need

Not anymore on the 560, it was fixed in firmware long ago, you just need to install the update.

The scan driver is independent and in no way affects print. Install it

Thank you Joe.

We are getting there but are not quite there yet.

I figured out that by looking at the ip address on the Xerox, and typing that address into Google Chrome browser (instead of a web address address) that the:

Xerox WorkCentre 6027 - Centreware Internet Services

page comes up, which then allows one to modify settings.

So from here, how do I adjust the settings to be able to either scan to email or scan to the only computer attached to the network?

Thanks,

Currently when I try scanning to network option, it says I need to set up an address book.  But I did already set up the address book (for scan's).

Have you tried reading the post that made this thread be marked as Solved? Do that

If you setup the addressbook for email and haven't set up email then it won't work, it also won't work if you are going into the wrong scan option at the printer. We can't guess what you have or have not done and we can't guess as to your Operating system or computer literacy. You need to be very specific.
