I have a CQ 8900 with firmware non conect key 071.160.202.26500 and the tecnical update to 072.161.216.30801, after this upgrade the smf workflow don´t work anymore.
I have 2 machines with the same configuration and that have the 071.160......work fine the new frimware don't work.
Can I do a downgrade, and how or somebody already have that problem and have a solution.
thanks

We use our Workcentre 3655 for scanning to email on a daily basis. Occasionally, for various reasons, the document feeder will jam in the middle of scanning a batch of documents. After clearing the jam, the job status will remain "scanning", but there is no way to resume the scan or email what has already been scanned that I can see--we can only delete the job and rescan the entire batch.
Is there any way to force it to email what has been scanned in this situation? Thanks!
Both firmwares are Connectkey, 071 is Connectkey 1.0 and 072 means Connectkey 1.5
we can't troubleshoot "don't work anymore".
Yes it can be downgraded, but only by an ALTBoot, meaning you need a tech to do it and it will wipe the device entirely, you cannot use a clone to restore it.
You would be vastly better off troubleshooting the issue, which is likely in the scan settings themselves, or the time on the device is wrong, but "don't work" is far from enough to work on, you need to provide at the very least:
1. OS of scan location
2. Failure at the device (Login or connection failure at least)
3. One touch, Workflow scan template, or Scan to is used
4. Domain or local credentials used to access server
5. LAN details about bridges, wired, wireless, corporate or residential
I thought this was fixed in firmware a while ago. Current firmware is 073.060.136.34300.
Are you running current firmware or the current on Xerox.com general release which is 073.060.075.34540
The 071.160.202.26500 is non-conectkey
I already did a instalation by altboot with the the forceupgrade e disablebackup and don´t work.
About the solution to work with the new firmware, this is what i want.
The configuration is the same, i have two 8900, one work ( 071.160.202.26500 ) and the other (072.....), don´t.
Same configuration, same os, same template, same place in disk, same login e pwd. but, did append a update no more works
Do a wireshark and find the error.
The only scan setting that would have changed is you would originally not been able to support SMB2-3 and been using port 139.
The newer firmware does support SMB2-3 and uses 445, it does not in any way contain Windows Networking (NETbios/TCP/IP) so scans on port 139 fail. In turn, this would then add that time needs to be within 3 minutes and Windows 8 and up would need a different username format than the older firmware. Which is easily found server/PC side (you need the name as it appears in the brackets exactly)
But the Wireshark will be enough to show you that. The protocols will apear different between the devices on different firmwares.
with regards to Fuji controller,i have down laoded the new firmware for SHA-2 but still getting this error codes (016-767) and (017-714)
this printer use to work perfectly scanning to email, but all of sudden quit.
I have reached out but still cant figure whats up.
Does it mean the scan to email has been faced out on this 7428 machine?
please looking for solutions by all means necessary.
Thank you
Our firmware ver is 072.060.145.05000--Model Workcentre 3655X.
We're part of the managed print services contract Xerox has with government departments in Canada, which may mean we're on a special update schedule--not sure.
That is really old firmware, in fact it is 10 versions behind, which in itself isn't bad, they only update when there is an issue, which at a time there was because the one you have is a spar version, but there was a newer General release that should have been installed, but at this point, as there is an issue, you might as well go to the newest.
Iif you can't do the update I would have your IT call Xerox or just update it themselves.
Email wasn't phased out at all, but SHA-2 was never implemented in the first place, but in the years the machine was developed for, SHA-2 didn't exist, or at least was not in use.
But the big dogs (Gmail, Yahoo, Office365) all promised a few years ago to implement it, and started to enforce it in January 2016 in a staggered rollout, as soon as they did, all the smaller ones jumped on board and did so as well.
Lots of things didn't and don't support it, printers are a big one though, and if a company isn't selling the printer, they make nothing by developing new firmware for it, so they don't.
Had FujiXerox ever guaranteed that they would support SHA-2, they would have coded a fix, but they didn't. They did release fixes for all the machines that they still developed for, the oldest models I know of were the 53XX and the 72XX models, and that was only because enough paying customers demanded it.
But since your model didn't get a fix, you would basically need an inhouse unauthenticated, or outdated server to use, or a mediary, like SMTP2Go
working on a C-70, everything seems configured well, but except that i dont see the firey icon on the UI and on the webtool page it shows "Printing:Check scanner network cable" also when you try to reach the printer page via webtool it say"
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Any help please?
LAN cable from IOT to Fiery needs to be a crossover.
IOT NIC needs to be either DHCP/AutoIP (Vastly preferred) or Static assigned as
Machine Status > Tools > Connectivity and Network Setup > Protocol Settings > TCP/IP Network Settings > Change Settings
IP=100.100.100.101
SUB=255.255.252.252
Gate=100.100.100.102
But that is not the preferred method
EIP needs to be enabled and configured
CWIS > Properties > General Setup > Extensible Services Setup
Hi all, sorry for my bad english.
I have a workcentre 7225 with a scanning on NAS folder workflow correctly configured.
Suddendly some days ago the printer stopped with an "image overwrite error".
I correct this error doing the overwriting (why xerox doesn't set a default overwrite if after N scanned documents the printer will stop? It's a mistery).
Now another error: "work cancelled by access error".
What's this? It's a bit cryptically IMHO. Anyone can help me?
Thank you very much.

This is enabled by default and is working just like it should, everything you do creates files internally on the HDD, those files in the old days could be retrieved from the HDD by an inclined user by hooking up the HDD to a PC, to counteract it, Xerox not only deletes the files right after they are no longer needed, but they format the and overwrite the area, if for any reason the process fails, you get the error, the printer works fine, you are only notified it happened, to be sure the file is removed, you just run the disk overwrite. If you don't want this, just disable the feature in the same place you ran it from, if you want you can also set it to run itself in off hours daily, so if the error happens again, it will be gone by morning, all of this is done in exactly the same place you ran it from.

No idea here, the error does not exist in English that way and I can't think of anything close to it. If access could be accessory, I would assume a USB write fault, but that is pure conjecture.
Hello,
We have a WorkCentre 3325 that will not print out faxes. Currently, there are almost 100 faxes stuck in the memory, and the machine says printing, but it will not print. All other services work great, we can send faxes, print to the machine and copy. I have tried rebooting it many times, and each time it will print the config report when it powers up, and then it says printing, but nothing happens. Also, not sure if its related, but I am getting an error saying the bypass tray is empty. I have put paper in the bypass tray and tried changing paper sizes, but nothing happens. I have also rebooted it with the phone line and ethernet line disconnected to see if it print out the faxes, but nothing happens.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Delete the the job that is trying to print and the other ones should print, the issue would have to be caused by a job that is corrupted in some way, I am not going to guess as to why or how though. If the jobs are not important, run a secure disk image overwrite to get rid of them all, or simply reboot 3 times in a row to clear it's memory.
Thanks--I did a check of other Workcentre 3655 units we have on site, and the rest seem to be running firmware 073.060.116.19700. Our unit was recently repaired, which probably explains the older firmware.
