Hello Joe,
Thanks so much for your reply.
For the possible reasons for error--
Problem:Scanner fault 362-476. Scanner moves to the right about 1 inch and at boot up and doesn't move back to the left like normally operation. Lamp doesn't illuminate either. Component control doesn't work for any scanner components. Cause:Scanner home sensor always reading home position. Not changing high\low states when scanner assy moves to the right. This causes the printer to trigger the fault. Replace the Carriage home sensor
The scanner does not move and the lamp is constantly on. So even when I close the hood, when I look between the hood and glass, you can see the light is on.
Problem:The plastic spring hook on the bottom of the plastic scanner pan is broken. The belt tensioner inside the scanner needs to be held by the spring. . Therefore the belt becomes loose and gives 362-476 fault codes.
I checked the all springs and they look to be securely on and functioning properly.
Problem:The scanner does not move or light up when closing the dadf.Cause:Bad connection on SIP or scanner pwb. Reconnect all scanner pwb plugs and SIP plugs, suspect the small ribbon on scanner pwb.
The scanner light is on and does not turn off, so it has the opposite problem.
With this information, is there any solutions that you think may work? Thank you!!
