I am new here. At one of our locations we have a WorkCentre 4265 that we have purchased the Fax Server kit for. This was done prior to me coming to work here. What I am trying to accomplish is to have an incoming fax delivered to a shared network folder on the server. The folder is set up and everything looks good there. I had the local tech from the copier company out to set up the functionality and after 3 hours I was told that even with the Fax Server kit, the machine can't transfer a fax to a folder. So basically my employer spend around $300 for functionality that does not work, at least possibly without some other component. Why the hell do they even sell something like this if it's not going to work? Is there anyone out there that has experience with this or has any ideas? The LACK of online documentation for this Fax Server is maddening. I can tell you that if I am still here when it's time for new copiers, there is no way in hell I will buy a Xerox machine.
