I have a WorkCentre 7970 with Software Version 072.200.165.4201
When scanning a document with a handwritten signature in colour, to pdf at any dpi, there seems to be a grey shading that fills in certain closed parts of the handwriting. (Please see the below) Do you have any idea what could be causing this?
Scanning any handwriting on a document results in this, but most of the time it fills in the closed areas with solid white so it is less obvious.
After trying out different options with background suppression on and off, colour, grayscale, auto and black and white. Black and white scanning is the only option that does not produce this issue because creates a bitmap document.
Why would scanning to pdf alter a document? Are there any settings that may help prevent this from happening to any closed area? (This does not occur when scanning to TIFF or JPEG)
