Re: SCAN TO FOLDER - C75 to MAC OS X

Step-by step is really not a thing we have, it would imply that all scenarios are alike, And in the case of Apple, that is near impossible since they now disable FTP by default, try and force sFTP on servers, use AFP when you enable SMB all depending on the version of the OSX install.

Then every product is slightly different, Xerox has their own setup, Fuji-Xerox (Your C75) has a slightly different setup, then EFI (You mention Verify, so I am assuming you have an EFI Fiery you are using instead of the Xerox C75 to scan)

So my example server will be ftp://192.168.1.100/scan

So, first off, test the FTP settings, so from Terminal on a Mac that you are not scanning to type:

ftp 192.168.1.100 (where the IP is that of your mac)

Assuming you get a connection it should ask for a login, test using the same username and password as the printer has been told to use.

Now as long as you are connected, type in ls (Lower case L) and verify the folder you want to scan to is listed

if it is, type cd scan where scan is the name of the folder you have

Now at this poiint you know you have the right login and the right path, so the next step is to verify write permissions.

Type mkdir deleteme to create a folder inside the FTP location, this will verify write permissions for the login.

Assuming success, type rmdir deleteme to get rid of the test folder.

So that verifies connection, folder, read and write permissions. If all of this worked, I would need to know the error displayed on the webtools page.

If you used a hostname instead of an IP the issue may be DNS, so try the IP to troubleshoot.

If the IP was used verify the Gateway is setup properly on the Fiery.

Make sure sFTP is not being used, I am quite sure sFTP is a no go on Fiery. (Might be wrong)

You also mention Verify fails, what is the error, and does it get the same error when using the printer to do the scan as well?

Lastly, provide a screenshot of the error on webtools like so:

Capture.GIF

And also the OSX version as tested, and how FTP has been enabled as it is not enabled in 10.9 or 10.10 by default.
