I can take the fuser out. The model has two hand tight fasteners of both sides. Also has two rectangular hooks hanging for a person to grab on securely and pull out after unscrewing threaded fasteners. I have had out several times looking for and errant paper jammed in that section. Never seen any, any where. I don't thing the paper is entering that section due to the nicely wrinkled paper that is stopping the machine each time in the same way.
I have suspected this section, but unsure of what I am looking at when dismounted.
I do observe the black roller and it seems that is does look smooth and glossy. On both ends, one inch from the end, it looks very glossy. That section extends at least one to two inches inward toward the middle. Needless to say, that looks like the most neglected part of that roller. The other roller is cover in an orange plastic cover of some kind.
I was gonna pick up this unit last week, but passed on it due to the inability of me to diagnose exactly why the paper jams previous to coming in to this section each and every time.
What is strange to me is that on warm up, the machine goes through its paces and sends and two sided text sheet out and that sheets prints just fine.
I have re-ordered this fuser unit and will attain first thing Monday. I am anxious to see if this will help me. I have inundated with copy work and cannot output this very computer because that was the only unit I have currently.
