Suddendly some days ago the printer stopped with an "image overwrite error".
I correct this error doing the overwriting (why xerox doesn't set a default overwrite if after N scanned documents the printer will stop? It's a mistery).
This is enabled by default and is working just like it should, everything you do creates files internally on the HDD, those files in the old days could be retrieved from the HDD by an inclined user by hooking up the HDD to a PC, to counteract it, Xerox not only deletes the files right after they are no longer needed, but they format the and overwrite the area, if for any reason the process fails, you get the error, the printer works fine, you are only notified it happened, to be sure the file is removed, you just run the disk overwrite. If you don't want this, just disable the feature in the same place you ran it from, if you want you can also set it to run itself in off hours daily, so if the error happens again, it will be gone by morning, all of this is done in exactly the same place you ran it from.
Now another error: "work cancelled by access error".
What's this? It's a bit cryptically IMHO. Anyone can help me?
No idea here, the error does not exist in English that way and I can't think of anything close to it. If access could be accessory, I would assume a USB write fault, but that is pure conjecture.
