HI again! I have a Workcentre 3325 we took out of service because it constantly suffers paper jams when printing but scans OK. I've loaded all its drivers on my PC to test and I think I've found a solution. The following is therefore specific to the 3325 but should work similarly with other Workcentre models. Adobe Acrobat XI Pro File > Create > PDF from Scanner > Custom Scan On the "Scanner" pull-down choose the Xerox Scanner TWAIN Then click "Options..." In this window change the "User Interface" to "Show Scanner's Native Interface" then click OK to return to the previous window. From here you can choose "New PDF Document" or "Append to existing file or portfolio". You can also turn on or off "Make Searchable (Run OCR)" This is good to have checked ON so the PDF is editable. Now Click SCAN. This brings up a new window for the Workcentre. FOR the 3325 TWAIN Interface, It's hard to see but click the small black triangle on the right edge of this window. This opens up the Scan Settings portion of the window. (Other drivers look a bit different but should have these options as well.) Under "Document Source" choose "ADF" (short for Auto Document Feeder). Now click "Scan". The items in the doc feeder will get scanned into the Adobe Acrobat window when it's finished scanning. NOTE: the other scan methods you mention cannot be used here because of the US H.I.P.A.A restrictions for patient data privacy. Also the models we have here only support NTLM v1 in SMB but we only implement the more secure NTLMv2 on our network (support said they could not "upgrade" our units). ALSO NOTE: Not busting on you, Joe, thanks for your advice. Been down the "Official Xerox Support" road and they only offer canned solutions and usually point to a F.A.Q. page that doesn't help, don't follow up and are very hard to get warranty service from. That's partly why we stopped buying Xerox anything. FYI I use this board to see if anyone has any better real-world solutions since my experience with "Official" support has been mostly terrible. Thanks anyhow for all the time you spent on this issue with me. Regards, Rich in CLE OH
